My dream wedding would be called a “weddingcation.” A group of 10-20 friends on holiday in a far flung tropical location, with an intimate ceremony down on a sandy beach nearby, and an epic party to follow for the next several days. A friendcation, if you will.
I was offered the opportunity to photograph a wedding just like this for Mari + Gerald in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. We had a week-long wedding adventure with her closest friends and it was absolutely incredible to be there photographing the start of their new life.
From the prep, to the adventure, to the day to day,—what an amazing way to bring your closest friends into the prep and planning as well as the event itself.
From dinners at the group house, to the intimate ceremony on the beach, to extra curricular activities like surfing and horseback riding, this was a wedding all are to remember the rest of their lives. Take me back!
